PPM® High-Strength Anchor Bolt — Heavy-duty bolted connections

PPM® High-Strength Anchor Bolts, constructed from high-strength steel, are designed for anchoring concrete or steel structures and machinery into robust concrete base structures. PPM® anchor bolts are specifically designed to anchoring applications where heavy-duty connections are essential.

PPM® High-Strength Anchor Bolts transfer tension, compression, and shear forces to the reinforced concrete base structure, such as foundations. They are commonly used in conjunction with BOLDA® Column Shoes, SUMO® Wall Shoes, as well as steel columns and machine fixings. There are two main types of PPM® High-Strength Anchor Bolts:

Type P with long anchors, mainly employed for splicing purposes. They effectively transfer compression and tension forces through the rib bond of ribbed bars.

Type L with short anchors and headed studs, utilized for anchoring into foundations. They facilitate force transfer through a combination of headed studs and rib bond.

To ensure convenient and accurate installation of the anchor bolts in castings and foundations, PPL Anchor Bolt Installation Templates are provided. These templates streamline the installation process, guaranteeing precise placement of the anchor bolts.

PPM® High-Strength Anchor Bolts offer robust and reliable anchoring solution, ensuring the stability and strength of concrete structures subjected to heavy loading conditions.

Anchor Bolt Surface Coating Options

Anchor bolts are often used in various applications, from dry indoor conditions to harsh industrial conditions where additional protection against steel corrosion is needed. Anchor bolts are available with alternative protective coatings. Standard coating options for anchor bolts are described below. If other type of protection against corrosion is needed, please contact your local Peikko sales office for more information.

ECO Galvanizing

Peikko’s ECO Galvanizing is a cost-effective and ecological surface coating which allows anchor bolts to be galvanized partly or completely. The coating method is thermally sprayed zinc coating, according to EN ISO 2063. The minimum coating thickness is 100 µm, which corresponds to the performance of hot-dip galvanizing. The coating fulfils environmental class C3 of standard EN ISO 9223:2012. ECO Galvanizing is available for Anchor Bolt models HPM® 24 - 39 and PPM® 30 - 52.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing

Hot-Dip Galvanized (according to EN ISO 1461) anchor bolts are completely dipped into galvanized material. The method is suitable for HPM® and PPM® Anchor Bolts. The minimum coating thickness is 55 µm, which fulfils environmental class C3 of standard EN ISO 9223:2012.
